Hampton Roads, Virginia
I'm Sasha Branch, a patient advocate and navigator. I help individuals, families, and practices move through insurance denials, prior authorizations, provider searches, and the moments in between, with steady, trauma-informed support.

About
I built The Compass Collective for the people who fall through the cracks: the patient whose medication keeps getting denied, the family that doesn't know which number to call, the person carrying grief with nowhere to set it down.
My background sits at the intersection of healthcare operations and human services. I've spent years inside specialty medicine working on prior authorizations and insurance navigation, and I pair that with graduate training in trauma and crisis counseling.
What I am not is a therapist. I name that openly because it matters. I work alongside licensed clinicians, not in place of them, and when something is outside my scope, I say so and help you find the right person.
Services
Support for individuals and families navigating care, and consulting for the practices that serve them.
Help finding providers, understanding insurance and Medicaid, preparing for appointments, and making sure your voice is heard in medical settings.
One-on-one sessions for life transitions, resilience, and direction. Includes Vent Sessions: structured space to release what you're carrying. Coaching, not therapy.
Gentle, practical companionship through loss. Roadmaps, rituals, and writing that help you move from grief toward purpose at your own pace.
Hands-on PA support for specialty and biologic medications: submissions, appeals, peer-to-peer prep, and the documentation that gets approvals through.
Training for clinical and front-office teams on prior authorization workflows, Medicaid navigation, and trauma-informed patient communication.
Resume writing and interview preparation, community resource connection, and speaking engagements for groups and events across Hampton Roads.
For Providers & Organizations
I partner with therapists, physicians, behavioral health practices, and community organizations as a complement to clinical care, never a replacement for it. Referring is simple, and I keep you in the loop.
A note on client privacy: please don't include client names, dates of birth, diagnoses, or insurance details in the website contact form. Protected health information should travel by fax or another secure channel. I take confidentiality seriously, and I protect your clients the way you do.
Pricing
No surprises. Sliding scale rates are available case by case for clients and organizations serving underserved communities.
